Why Do I Need A Podiatrist?

Podiatry or podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower extremity. Podiatrists study at university for 3 years and can work in the private sector or NHS. There are may specialities in Podiatry including sports medicine, Diabetes and peripheral arterial disease (poor blood supply), Rheumatology, Gait analysis and biomechanical examination and insoles, muscloskeletal Podiatry and forensic podiatry.

Podiatrists work with doctors and General practitioners, Hospital consultants, Nurses and Physiotherapists.

Your Safety and the safety of our staff is of utmost importance to us, we kindly ask that you follow the guidance below when attending for your appointment.

If you are experiencing any COVID 19 symptoms (shortness of breath, new continuous cough, fever (above 37.5) or loss of taste/smell? If so, please stay home and contact in a few weeks.

We will provide a mask for you to wear and hand washing facilities.

We will also be wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and deep cleaning everything you/we touch.

Please attend for your appointment alone if possible. This is to limit the crossover of people in the waiting room.

On the day of your appointment- please arrive at exactly your appointment time. If you are early wait in the car or outside. Please attend alone if possible.
